Mrs. Laura Lupo:
Welcome back! I am excited to start the new year and look forward to meeting and reconnecting with students. This will be my 17th year at LMS and I still love my job as a school counselor. I graduated from Western Washington University in 1993 with a BA in psychology and received my M.Ed. in school counseling from Seattle University in 2000. I have been at LMS ever since and am grateful to live and work in such a wonderful community. Outside of work, I am busy raising two wonderful boys. Both my children are very involved with hockey and we spend a lot of time between Canada and Bellingham for practices and games. My husband is a teacher at Kulshan Middle School in Bellingham and also coaches football and basketball. He was a teacher at LMS for one year so some of you may know him! I look forward to a great start to the 2017-2018 school year. Please don't hesitate to call with any concerns you may have.

This is my 4th year collaborating on the LMS Counseling Team and it's a privilege working alongside your students. I have a deep passion and love for being a school counselor. It's a unique position that allows me to (1) help others achieve their goals, which is awe-inspiring, (2) see how amazing and resilient each student is, (3) collaborate with colleagues, which is the bomb, (4) work together towards a common goal, which is motivating, and (5) challenge myself to learn and grow, which is both humbling and rewarding. I have learned that "EVERYTHING IS AWESOME...EVERYTHING IS COOL WHEN YOU'RE PART OF A TEAM...EVERYTHING IS AWESOME...WHEN WE'RE LIVING OUR DREAMS!!!" Thank you for all your support and encouragement as we TEAM together to help your students reach their personal and academic goals!!
